Arun Ulag is a seasoned technology executive with over two decades of experience in the industry, predominantly at Microsoft, where he currently serves as the Corporate Vice President of Azure Data. In this role, he oversees engineering, product management, and cloud operations for Microsoft’s comprehensive data platform, which includes a wide array of services such as Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Power BI. His leadership extends across various facets of Microsoft’s data and intelligence domains, having previously led efforts in business intelligence, analytics, and software development.

Before his tenure at Microsoft, Arun founded Think Business Networks, where he built and managed a 60-employee organization across the U.S. and India, focusing on provisioning software for large telecommunications companies and software vendors. His entrepreneurial efforts and innovative approach led to the company’s sustained profitability without venture capital, underpinned by a significant focus on quality and customer satisfaction. Arun’s educational background includes an MS in Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Bharathiar University.
